I. The Award:
Scholarships of various dollar amounts. The institution may be a college or university of recipient's choice.
II. Conditions of Eligibility:
Open to female & male high school seniors & current college undergraduate or graduate students. Applicants must have demonstrated leadership both in the classroom and in extracurricular activities along with community service.
III. Selection Process:

This should be received no later than April 1, 2008. A selection committee will screen the application and the recipient will be contacted for an interview.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING APPLICATION

1. Application must be TYPED.
2. Application must be fully completed.
3. Application must be signed.
4. Application must be accompanied by:
a) An essay of 500 words or less to the Area Business Women's Network (ABWN) about "What furthering my education means to me";
b) One letter of recommendation from any school personnel. Recommender should explain his/her relationship to the applicant, and should specifically address the applicant's abilities that qualify the student for this award. High School Only: Recommender must also verify applicant's scholastic qualifications (i.e. Class rank, any college entrance scores; GPA)
5. Applicant may be asked to appear before the selection committee in person.

If additional space is needed, please type on 8-1/2" x 11" white paper and attach to the application.

**Be sure to attach essay and letter of recommendation.**
